About This Opportunity We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Specification Manager - South East to join our Commercial Sales team. This position is well-suited to a high energy individual with a drive for self-motivation and self-development who is looking to use excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence, inspire and build long-term relationships with our customers. As part of the Commercial Sales team you will use your expertise and experience to manage Architects & Designers, Flooring contractors, Developers and End-users and deliver projects on a regional basis. Using your entrepreneurial skills and sensitivity to complex business environments, you will develop and maintain a pipeline of major projects whilst cultivating strong and sustainable business relationships across the region through the consultative sales model. How You Will Contribute You will be trusted to operate autonomously within your area, taking full ownership of key relationships with Architects & Designers, flooring contractors, developers, and end users, while driving the development of project pipelines from inception through to completion. You will proactively generate new business and expand Karndean's customer base by delivering a clear and strategic sales plan. Through a combination of digital engagement and face-to-face meetings, you will provide a professional, engaging, and passionate sales experience while consistently achieving sales targets within your territory. You will take full accountability for your performance, including sales, margin, and customer satisfaction. Strong product knowledge and negotiation skills will be essential in delivering against these objectives. You will collaborate closely with National Specification Managers to secure major projects and strengthen supply chain agreements. Teamwork will be central to your success, and you will work effectively with colleagues across the Commercial team and wider business to deliver outstanding results. You will also use CRM systems to manage customer relationships and project pipelines, ensuring accurate reporting on monthly and interim performance. What Will Make You Successful in This Role You will be experienced in a Specification Sales role with a proven record of performance in this and in delivering major projects within the flooring, construction or interior finishes sectors. Attention to detail is key with the ability to see through complex issues to find the best suitable solution for your customers. A pioneering spirit will help you deliver the promise to your customers. Good understanding of the Construction sector, key stakeholders and influencers. Proficient in the use of digital tools to deliver sales solutions effectively and to different customer types depending on their specific project needs.
