Job Description
Turner & Townsend are looking for experienced Hard FM and/or M&E Project Managers to join our Real Estate team. You will take responsibility for a number of diverse projects within the portfolio, taking them from inception through delivery and handover, covering all aspects of the project lifecycle. Typical project budgets range from £25k to £3M. You will work in a multi‑stakeholder, operational environment with challenging deadlines, in a dynamic team effort with our clients and their operational teams.
Key Accountabilities
* Help establish overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters
* Ensure that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues
* Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project
* Plan the project, including producing the detailed project plan
* Work with the overall cross‑functional project team
* Monitor and apply performance management techniques
* Manage the change control process
* Monitor and advise upon project finances
* Manage the flow of project information between the project team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
* Prepare formal project progress and other reports
* Take a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages
* Understand the impacts of your projects on the operational team and building infrastructure
* Review and mitigate risks associated with each project being delivered
Qualifications
* Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: MEP engineering, facilities management, construction, project management, surveying, architecture or energy conservation
* Evidence of delivering projects in live and occupied operational buildings
* Good understanding of the characteristics of project impacts on engineering systems over the project lifecycle
* Good working knowledge of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
* Experience of leading small to medium‑sized construction projects of medium/high complexity
* Experience of stakeholder engagement in complex, operational environments
* Experience of dealing with multiple clients at differing locations at any one time
