Financial Reporting Lead - £55,000 to £60,000We are partnering a evolving SME operating in a fast paced, commercially driven environment. The business is strengthening its finance function and is seeking a Financial Reporting Lead to take ownership of financial reporting integrity, balance sheet control, and fixed asset governance.This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across reporting, controls, and systems improvement, working closely with the Head of Finance to enhance financial accuracy, strengthen processes, and support business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-end close and deliver accurate, timely financial reportingPrepare management accounts with variance analysis and insightMaintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts with strong control focusSupport year-end close, statutory reporting, and audit processesEnsure compliance with accounting standards and internal controlsOwn and maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and completenessOversee capitalisation of projects, WIP balances, and legacy data clean-upStrengthen capital expenditure tracking, governance, and documentationSupport development and enforcement of capitalisation policiesImprove reporting processes, controls, and financial systemsDrive automation and reduce manual processesEnhance data integrity across finance systemsAct as key contact for fixed asset and reporting queriesPartner with operational teams on capital project accuracyProvide clear reporting and insight to senior stakeholdersWhat We're Looking ForPart-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent)Strong experience in management accounting or financial reportingSolid understanding of fixed assets and balance sheet controlExperience with reconciliations and process improvementStrong Excel and analytical skillsComfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentDesirable: ERP systems experience (Sage, Xero, SAP, Oracle) and audit exposureWhat's on Offer£55,000 - £60,000 salaryBroad ownership across reporting and fixed assetsDirect exposure to senior finance leadershipOpportunity to shape and improve finance processesHigh-impact role in a growing businessTPBN1_UKTJ
