Tasks Your main tasks include, among others: Working on two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls Experience of CNC programming preferable on Fanuc controls To be able to read and understand technical drawings To be able to work with imperial measuring equipment Manufacturing bushes, sleeves and nuts for Aircraft components e.g.:- Landing gears, flap and track systems Also reworking and overhauling components for the airline industry An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental procedures You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures Requirements The ideal CNC Turner should meet the following requirements: Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English Aerospace background not essential but would be preferred Experience in two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls Experience of CNC programming Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday (depending business needs) 5 hours per week Able to work shifts (06:30 - 14:30 and 14:25 - 22:25) The position requires from time to time flexibility in working hours including working overtime at weekends The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted Mandatory Training will be required Physical Requirements: The job requires the applicant to stand for a prolonged amount of time with a number of breaks throughout the day The position and process involves lifting heavy aircraft components About Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services UK Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services is part of the Lufthansa Technik Group - the world's leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services as well as modifications to the civil aviation industry.
