Social Worker – Fostering Supervising Social Worker

Responsibilities
* Supervise and support approved Foster Carers in line with the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Statutory Guidance (2011).
* Collaborate with children’s Social Workers and other professionals.
* Complete annual Foster Carer reviews.
* Attend Foster Panel meetings.
* Facilitate regular Foster Carer support groups.
* Serve on a rota for fostering duty.
* Attend monthly reflective case supervision and, if needed, receive mentorship from the team.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified Social Worker with strong assessment and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience supporting Foster Carers desirable but not essential.
* Understanding of national and local issues facing Foster Carers.
Location
The position is based in the South of Derbyshire, with flexibility to cover other areas in Derbyshire and occasionally outside the county.
Employment Details
Full time, 37 hours per week. Temporary 12‑month post covering maternity leave.
