£13.50 per hour
Role Description - Mental Health Support Worker
Gray Healthcare is recruiting a new team of mental health support workers in the Wrexham area to support a lady in her late twenties with diagnoses of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and Schizoaffective Disorder. She lives independently in her own home and receives 1:1 support 24 hours a day. The lady has interests in baking and crafts, enjoys staying busy and active. Support will be provided by a female team on mixed shifts, including days and waking nights.
Mental Health Support Worker Required Skills and Experience
* Social care experience, ideally within mental health, supporting individuals with complex care needs.
* Experience encouraging individuals with complex health needs and learning disabilities.
* Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors.
* Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
* Must have the right to work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. Sponsorship is not available.
* This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
Hours
1 x 36-hour contract on days - 3 x 12-hour shifts with alternate weekends.
Induction and Training
Initial week of online training covering company induction, systems, and medication. Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK, a PBS approach to least restrictive practice. Additional person-centered training tailored to the individual supported. Ongoing training and career development encouraged.
