Nutriment Natural Treats is a growing manufacturer and wholesaler of natural pet treats supplying retailers and distributors across the UK and internationally.
As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a Supply Chain & Procurement Lead to take ownership of sourcing, purchasing and supplier management for externally supplied products.
This role will play a key part in ensuring reliable supply, competitive purchasing and consistent product standards across our supplier network.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing purchasing and supplier relationships for externally sourced products, ensuring the business maintains reliable supply and strong product quality.
You will work closely with our operations team to ensure stock availability while supporting the development of new products and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
• Forecast demand for externally sourced products
• Manage purchasing and supplier ordering
• Track supplier lead times and inbound shipments
• Negotiate pricing and supply terms with suppliers
• Identify and source new suppliers and products
• Develop and maintain Standard Product Specifications for sourced products
• Ensure suppliers meet our quality and packaging standards
• Work closely with operations and warehouse teams to manage stock levels
• Support cost control and supply chain improvements
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and comfortable managing supplier relationships.
You will likely have experience in a role such as:
• Supply Chain Planner
• Buyer / Procurement Specialist
• Supply Chain Coordinator
• Purchasing Manager
• Supply Chain Analyst
Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, wholesale or distribution would be highly beneficial.
Skills & Experience
• Experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain planning
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• Experience managing supplier relationships
• Ability to manage multiple products and suppliers
• Strong spreadsheet and data management capability
• Confident communicator and negotiator
Experience working with international supply chains would be an advantage.
