JOB: CAD Technician
LOCATION: Glasgow
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: GBP 30,000 : GBP 40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client specialises in bespoke design and fabrication for the Construction industry, and they are looking to take on a CAD Technician on a permanent basis in the Glasgow area.
The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
: 2+ years' experience in a similar CAD Operation / Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position
: Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit etc.
: Any previous experience of working with bespoke metalwork, structural steel, Cladding or similar would be beneficial
: Experience using BIM360, Viewpoint or similar software would be beneficial
: Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar would be beneficial
: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
: Proficient using MS Office
: Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
: Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi:disciplinary team
The CAD Technician role will involve:
: Working within the current engineering team with other CAD Technicians
: Producing 3D designs using AutoCAD software
: Liaising with manufacturing providers and Assembly teams
: Being involved in final assembly of products
: Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
: Updating 3D models and drawings
: Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
: Checking drawings for sign off
: Working in a small multi:disciplinary team on varied projects
