As a Mechanical Engineer in our mill, your work directly supports farmers across the region, ensuring animals are fed and farms run smoothly. It’s a role with real purpose, where your skills help keep essential supply chains moving.
About the Role
In this role you’ll be responsible for the mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of plant equipment and machinery. You’ll work closely with production teams to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
The role is based in a dusty, industrial environment, and involves both planned and reactive maintenance. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a physically demanding setting and be ready to respond quickly to breakdowns and technical challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment across the mill
* Diagnosing faults and carrying out adjustments or replacements
* Supporting project work and collaborating with other teams
* Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
* Keeping accurate records and documentation
* Ordering and preparing materials for maintenance tasks
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in heavy manufacturing or production environments (e.g. feed, quarry, or similar)
* Strong knowledge of conveying systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical fault finding
* A solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations
* Someone who can work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive problem-solver with good attention to detail
* A commitment to doing a job that truly matters
