Role Overview
You will work closely alongside all members of the therapy team: Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners and Rehabilitation Support Workers, as well as a wider multi‑disciplinary workforce across Bedfordshire.
You will build close links with the professionals and services required to wrap around the needs of each individual to provide a holistic approach. You will need to be innovative, forward‑thinking, self‑driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly motivated, dynamic, have a flexible approach and be able to embrace change. Being a collaborative worker, with the ability to network and build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders will be essential.
All applicants need to hold a degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy, be registered with the HCPC and have leadership experience with team management skills. Due to the nature of the post the applicant must be able to meet the travel requirements to travel across the county of Bedfordshire.
Education and Qualification
* Essential: Degree in Occupational Therapy, HCPC Registered
* Desirable: Community Experience, Practice Educator trained
Experience
* Essential: Experience of a broad range of physical conditions
* Desirable: NHS Experience
Knowledge and Skills
* Essential: Demonstrates sound leadership skills through experience, Demonstrates understanding of evidence based therapeutic knowledge and skills
* Desirable: Ability to work as part of a team and as a lone worker
Other Requirements
* Essential: Access to a vehicle and holds a Full UK Driver’s licence, Able to work weekends and bank holidays
* Desirable: To be able to work flexibly across services
