We're looking for a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead and manage the firm-wide approach to IT, PMO, Process Improvement and Procurement. You will be developing the strategy and plans to support our change agenda and growth ambitions. You'll be reporting directly into our Managing Partner, sitting on our Senior Leadership Team, and supporting the overall direction and strategy of the firm. In this position, you will be responsible for projects across multiple areas: Technology, AI & Innovation: Create and lead our IT and digital transformation strategy Oversee the investigation and implementation of legal tech solutions, case management systems, and automation Develop and execute a strategy for AI and other relevant emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, client service, and decision-making Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of Lester Aldridge's IT and Infrastructure PMO Establish and oversee a Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure effective governance of key firm-wide projects Drive strategic initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget Monitor and report on the progress of major initiatives to the SLT and key stakeholders Process Improvements: Lead process improvement programmes using best practices Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency across all business functions through the delivery of IT, Process Improvement, PMO and Procurement, helping achieve operational efficiency and performance improvement Data Protection and Information Security: Overall responsibility for the firm's approach towards data protection and information security Work closely with the Risk and Compliance team to ensure we meet regulatory requirements and standards Procurement: Develop and oversee our procurement strategy, aligning with budge, quality and compliance standards Oversee the negotiation of key supplier contracts and commercial terms through the development of procurement policies and frameworks for colleagues to work within Monitor vendor performance and maintain strategic relationships Leadership: As a member of the SLT, you will be a role model in effectively leading the cultural change programme across the firm and actively promote the opportunities that IT presents to Lester Aldridge Lead and manage the team, acting as a coach in helping develop grow their careers Create a clear vision, strategy and operating model For this role, you will need: Proven track record in the legal or professional services sector, delivering growth and IT Ability to influence senior stakeholders in a demanding environment Strong experience in technology, process design, and managing large change programmes Expertise in AI adoption, digital transformation and legal technology In return, you will receive: Competitive salary and performance related bonus 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays) Private medical insurance Good work-life balance - 37.5 hours per week Flexibility to work from home and from our London or Southampton offices STRICTLY NO AGENCIES
