Urban Mobility Planner at Foster + Partners, you will help shape the movement, efficiency and user experience of cities and masterplans around the world. Working within a multidisciplinary urban design team, you’ll bring transport expertise into early-stage planning, analyse mobility patterns, assess infrastructure needs and contribute to strategies that enhance connectivity, sustainability and quality of life across complex urban environments.

* Provide transport and mobility feedback on design solutions, from road alignments to access layouts.
* Gather and analyse transport data, producing meaningful insights to guide project decisions.
* Conduct research into mobility policies, strategies and global best practice.
* Produce clear, compelling reports, drawings and presentation materials.
* Simulate transport scenarios and forecast the impact of new developments.
* Advise architects and planners on technical aspects of transport planning.
What you'll bring to the studio:
* Experience in a transport consultancy or engineering environment.
* Expertise in at least one of the following: road/transport engineering, development planning, strategic transport planning or behaviour change.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD and confidence working with multimodal transport design parameters.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear technical documents.
* A proactive, flexible and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications and skills
* Ability to analyse transport data with accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills and confidence working in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
* Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
* Excellent relationship building skills at all levels.
* Desirable: experience with transport modelling tools (e.g., Vissim, Visum, Arcady/Picady), InDesign/Illustrator, planning standards, and creative communication techniques.
