SDUK's brands include the Nations favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly, Wensleydale, and Sheese), functional ingredients and dairy-free products.
This key role within our business to support the confirmation of the continued high-quality products we produce at Davidstow, our flagship plant, organising, tracking, and recording results of samples taken across the site, with results coming from our lab, and labs which we partner with in the UK and in mainland Europe.
This is a broad role which requires a highly organised and focused individual, with the ability to show adaptability to changing priorities. A strong attention to detail is absolutely paramount in this business-critical position.
Youll have responsibilities that will span digital and physical administration tasks, and have visibility of confidential and sensitive information, so discretion and confidentiality with this information is paramount.
As the Administrator, Technical, youll be responsible for supporting the wider technical team and working alongside other departments across the site and centralised functions, with plenty of interaction with various external organisations.
This position is a 12-month FTC. We are targeting a start date in September 2025
YOULL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY
Registering samples on online portals, keeping the physical documentation filed
Ensuring the samples are collected on time and arrive at external labs (including international)
Recording, organising and inputting sample data, highlighting trends with the appropriate teams
Ensuring the site and lab have the required stock levels in the correct places and are within use-by date
Supporting with site audit requirements conducted by internal and external teams
Communicating with suppliers, couriers, labs, customers, and group functions
YOURE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE
Able to demonstrate a knowledge of science-based disciplines to a GCSE level or above
Qualified in, or possess an understanding of, food safety standards
Able to work on your own initiative with professionalism
A strong coordinator and highly organised
Good with time management and working to tight deadlines with shifting priorities
