Job Description Summary
The Senior Sourcing Initiatives Manager is responsible for assisting the Sourcing organization in negotiating agreements with GE Aviation Systems suppliers. This role involves applying sound legal and business judgment to identify, analyze, and negotiate contract terms and conditions to mitigate risk.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Manage the end-to-end contract negotiation process to meet or exceed business cycle time requirements.
2. Advise sourcing and business teams on agreement structure, risks, and alternatives.
3. Manage contract clause libraries and contract databases.
4. Collaborate with business functions to draft revisions to C64/I64 and appropriate fallbacks.
5. Manage contract template processes, including systematic reviews of templates and playbooks, and incorporate best contracting practices and provisions.
6. Assist with educating and training individuals regarding contract processes, policies, and procedures as needed.
7. Lead process improvement efforts to support the achievement of business objectives.
Required Qualifications
1. Undergraduate Degree or paralegal certification plus 5+ years of related experience.
2. Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
3. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from multiple departments at all levels of the organization.
4. Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to work successfully towards strict deadlines and independently on multiple, simultaneous assignments.
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
