Outdoor Activity Tutor at Tower Wood OEC

We are currently recruiting an Outdoor Activity Tutor to work within the Lancashire Outdoor Education Service at the Tower Wood Outdoor Education Centre on the shores of Windermere for Lancashire County Council.
The Lancashire Outdoor Education Service is a major provider of outdoor adventure activities and residential facilities for visitors to schools, businesses, and more.
We operate three centres in the Cumbria and Lancashire countryside: Tower Wood, Borwick Hall, and Hothersall Lodge. These sites offer a welcoming space for fun, challenge, and learning in a stunning outdoor setting.
We seek an Outdoor Activity Tutor to enhance our service and ensure memorable experiences for our guests. Activities include Canoeing, Ghyll Scrambling, Rock Climbing, among others.

What are we looking for…
* A Passionate Instructor: Someone who loves the outdoors and enjoys sharing their passion. You should be an experienced and qualified instructor capable of guiding groups of young people through exciting and challenging activities, appreciating the natural world.
* Leadership: Resilient and adaptable, capable of responding to changes and managing risk to ensure safety. A confident leader who can build positive relationships, encourage teamwork, and create a fun, safe environment.
* Communication & Collaboration: Skilled in providing clear instructions, engaging with diverse groups, and motivating participation. You should be observant, supportive, and proactive in improving our offerings.
Applicants should be trained in at least two of the following NGB Awards and assessed in at least one:
* RCI or CWI
* Paddlesport Leader
* Cave Leader Award
* D1 driving entitlement (desirable)
