Location: Moira Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (42.5 hours/week, 30-minute unpaid break) Salary: £29,000 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Join a well-established food manufacturing business with deep roots in Northern Ireland, specialising in high-quality bakery mixes and confectionery ingredients. Purpose of the Role To operate machinery and perform tasks in the production and packaging of food products, ensuring consistent quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Operate production machinery and maintain high product quality. Follow food safety procedures including GMPs, cleaning schedules, and CCPs. Conduct basic testing and quality checks during production. Maintain accurate records and report any issues to the Production Supervisor. Keep work areas clean and equipment in good condition. Perform calibration, startup checks, and CCP checks. Report equipment faults and assist in maintenance. Provide cover in the absence of the Production Supervisor. Health & Safety Promote a safe working environment by following all health & safety policies. Use PPE correctly and report hazards or incidents promptly. Participate in risk assessments and safety initiatives. Attend mandatory training and cooperate with management on safety matters. Requirements Essential: Knowledge of food hygiene standards. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team. Good communication skills. Desirable: HACCP and BRCGS knowledge or certification.
