Talent STEM are partnering with an established manufacturing business in Newcastle seeking a Shift Maintenance Electrical Technician to join their engineering team. This hands-on role involves maintaining and improving production equipment within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, supporting equipment reliability, minimising downtime and contributing to continuous improvement projects. Key Responsibilities - Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment - Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery - Support Siemens PLC fault finding and diagnostics - Work with AC/DC drives and industrial control systems - Assist with equipment installations and commissioning - Maintain records using the CMMS system - Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives - Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures including LOTO and permit-to-work systems Requirements - Completed Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent - HNC in Electrical Engineering or related discipline - Experience fault finding on Siemens PLC systems - Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and schematics - Experience within manufacturing, production or process environments - Knowledge of drives, Profibus or Profinet would be advantageous - Strong communication and teamwork skills Benefits - £50,000 - £57,500 total package - Continental shift p...
