We are seeking to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support the learning and progress of students with SEN. You will be predominantly working alongside students with special educational needs in Literacy and also to coordinate the EAL provision in the school. As part of your role you will be working alongside subject staff to plan and support work in the classroom which meets the needs of individual learners with SEN/ EAL. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to relate well to both children and adults, be able to work constructively as part of a team and have a goal driven approach to solving problems. Knowledge and experience of work relating to Literacy and EAL is desirable. Working hours for this role are 37 hours per week, typically 8.00am – 4.10pm, Monday –Friday term time plus 5 staff learning days; 39 weeks per annum. Salary at Band H (Points 17-22) is within the range £30,060 to £32,654, starting point depending on experience and qualifications. Actual salary for hours and weeks worked is calculated as £26,042 to £28,289 subject to any continuous service.
