Exciting Opportunity in a Specialist Infusion Unit!
Are you a dedicated nurse looking for a full-time role in a dynamic and supportive specialist environment? Join our team at the IVAS (Intravenous Assessment and Support) Unit at Frimley Park Hospital as a Band 5 Staff Nurse.
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate nurses to deliver high-quality care within our outpatient infusion service.
This is a full-time position working four days a week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Main duties of the job
The IVAS infusion unit is a new concept in integrated Intravenous and vascular access services care for day case patients who can have infusion therapy to avoid admission or facilitate early discharge.
The IVAS unit also includes the vascular access service and the HIMS service, and all team members will become competent in ultrasound-guided cannulation and midline insertion, as well as using various vascular access devices and working with HIMS patients.
You will support and work with the IVAS team in delivering outpatient and ambulatory IV care services.

Person Specification
Skills & Knowledge
* Venepuncture and cannulation skills
* Competent in delivering IV therapy
* Excellent communication and verbal skills
* Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft and EPIC
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Managing vascular access devices
Special Requirements
* Willingness to undertake further education and training to acquire additional skills and qualifications
Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse
* Current NMC Registration
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Mentorship qualification (teaching and assessing)
* Immediate Life Support certification
Experience
* Recent clinical experience in an acute setting
* Newly qualified nurses considered
* Experience with IV therapies
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, to disclose any previous criminal convictions.
Salary depends on experience, per annum, including HCAS.
