As the key holder, you'll play an important role in opening and closing the school, ensuring cleanliness, security, and safety standards are met. This role is ideal for someone practical, reliable, and proactive, with good attention to detail. Main Responsibilities: Opening and closing the school premises each day (key holder duties) General cleaning of school facilities (classrooms, communal areas, toilets) Light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and reporting faults Ensuring site security and safety procedures are followed Liaising with contractors, staff, and external visitors as needed The Right Candidate Will: Be reliable, punctual, and capable of working split shifts independently Have previous caretaking or facilities experience (desirable but not essential) Be comfortable with physical duties including lifting and general maintenance Be able to use initiative and respond to issues promptly Be eligible to work in the UK and able to provide relevant references Requirements Compliance Requirements: Due to the nature of this role in a school environment, the following checks are mandatory: Enhanced DBS Check with Barred List (must be current or willing to obtain) CV and proof of right to work in the UK Proof of address and National Insurance number 3 years of employment or character references Driving licence (for ID and security purposes, even though driving is not required) Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
