Role Overview
A Floor Manager at JD Sports plays a key role in delivering the JD experience, supporting the smooth running of the shop floor, and ensuring every customer walks away feeling valued. The role involves supporting daily operations, leading by example on the sales floor, developing a confident and motivated team, and maintaining a store that looks sharp, runs efficiently, and reflects JD’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding JD service standards, ensuring every customer receives fast, friendly, and professional support.
* Drive commercial performance through effective shop‑floor execution, including merchandising, replenishment, and motivating the team.
* Lead and develop colleagues to maintain high performance, strong engagement, and consistent adherence to JD policies and processes.
* Support day‑to‑day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, organised shop‑floor environment.
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous supervisory experience in a fast‑paced retail or customer‑facing environment.
* Strong communication and leadership skills with proven experience supporting and developing team members.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to uphold high operational and visual standards.
* Solid commercial awareness with an understanding of how daily actions contribute to store KPIs and performance.
