Anti‑Social Behaviour Officer – Making Communities Safer Together

Do you thrive on solving complex problems, working collaboratively, and making a real difference to people’s lives? Are you resilient, customer‑focused, and motivated by creating safer, more inclusive communities? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

About The Role

As an Anti‑Social Behaviour Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our residents and communities by leading and managing serious and complex anti‑social behaviour (ASB) cases across all tenures. You’ll work with empathy, fairness, and professionalism to seek positive, sustainable outcomes, resolving issues wherever possible and minimising the impact of ASB on residents.

This role is both hands‑on and collaborative. You’ll lead on complex cases while working closely with internal colleagues and a wide range of external partners to tackle challenges early, apply proportionate solutions, and promote safe, welcoming neighbourhoods for everyone.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Leading and managing complex and high‑risk ASB cases from start to resolution
* Using a range of legal and non‑legal tools to resolve issues fairly and effectively
* Working collaboratively with colleagues, local authorities, police, and other partner agencies
* Prioritising a varied and demanding caseload while remaining calm, resilient, and solution‑focused
* Supporting a customer‑centred approach that balances enforcement with empathy
* Learning from customer feedback and contributing to continuous improvement in our ASB approach
* Playing an active role in shaping and improving how we respond to ASB as an organisation

About You

* Proven experience managing ASB cases, including court or tribunal work
* Strong knowledge of social housing, tenancy management, safeguarding, and ASB legislation
* Experience working in multi‑agency settings with police, councils, and community partners
* Ability to assess risk, prioritise cases, and manage a busy, varied caseload
* Empathetic, resilient, and customer‑focused, with confidence to be assertive when required
* Excellent communication skills and ability to support victims and communities
* Skilled in resolving complex issues, balancing prevention and enforcement

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £37,709 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.

You'll also receive a car allowance starting at £1,250 per annum.

Benefits

* 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, an extra day for your birthday, and the option to buy more
* Cash health plan, Health MOTs, online GP access, gym discounts, and a dedicated volunteering day for a cause you care about
* Car leasing options, salary sacrifice schemes, and exclusive discounts through our benefits platform
* Access to both Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit pension schemes through salary sacrifice, plus life assurance at three times your salary
* Enhanced parental leave, flexible working options, and support for work‑life balance
* Career development programmes including Stepping into Management, Management Essentials training, Leadership Academy, apprenticeships, and more
