You will be working in the Building Services OU based in Walsall Hospital in where we are responsible for creating healthy workplaces and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. We are currently looking for a Ventilation Technician who will Ensure all statutory and mandatory compliance checks, maintenance, records/ certificates are always kept up to date in line with the contractual requirements and filed correctly within the Skanska Master Filing System.
As the Ventilation Technician, you will:
1. Support the management team in the provision of maintenance services within the Walsall Manor Hospital Project.
2. Undertake Authorised Person Duties on systems as agreed with the Estates Officer.
3. Responsible for delivery of Statutory, Mandatory and contractually compliant systems, always ensuring adherence with Legislation and contractual obligations.
4. To undertake audits to ensure full compliance, these will include: Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Audits
5. To undertake and deliver the review of Risk Assessments, toolbox talks and Contractor Inductions.
We are looking for:
6. Recognised C & G or BTec in Mechanical Engineering
7. Wide experience and knowledge of the estate’s functions within a hospital environment and an ability to communicate, co-operate and motive staff and colleagues at all levels.
8. It is implicit within all Estates staff job descriptions that a high level of flexibility and co-operation must be given in order to provide the quality of service standards required.
9. This is a key front-line post, the post holder represents the Department directly to the Client group. Therefore the post holder must have a high standard of customer care skills and good communication skills.
10. Good healthcare knowledge.
11. Understanding of the Health and Safety of Work Act 1974.
