About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, The Birches, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are individuals with their own stories. As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will assist the Home Manager in organising fundraising events. Whether you’re encouraging Residents to socialise, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, you will do so with kindness above all else.
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, preferably in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should manage your time effectively and communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training. You should also seek advice and report concerns appropriately, escalating issues when necessary.
