Academics is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (maths intervention) to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a full-time role with the potential to go permanent, offering an immediate start in an outstanding SEMH school setting.
As a Teaching Assistant (Maths intervention), you will
Deliver targeted maths interventions to small groups and 1:1 students
Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning, both academically and emotionally
Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to tailor support strategies
Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for all students
As a Teaching Assistant (Maths intervention), you will have:
Experience working with students with SEMH or similar needs (desirable)
Confident in supporting maths at KS3 and KS4 level
Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and engagement
Able to commit full-time, with a strong team ethic and passion for inclusive education
