Overview Incy Wincy's Nursery is a high quality setting housed in a special Grade II listed building with it's own gardens and outdoor space. Situated next to the local park there is more green space to enjoy during the working day and easy access to the town of Bedale for lots of learning opportunities and inspiration for children and the staff team. We are seeking someone with at least a year of experience working with Under 2 year old children and Pre School age children, to encourage and inspire. Working in a small but busy nursery with a strong core team and lots of happy children! With guidance from the nursery management and senior staff to ensure we provide safe, high quality education and care which meets the individual needs of the children attending. You will need: · A minimum Level 3 childcare qualification and willingness to undertake further training - 1 Year of experience as a Senior practitioner in an Early Years Setting · 2 years’ experience of working with children aged 0-5 · Thorough knowledge of the revised Early Years Foundation Stage · A thorough knowledge of the Early Years Outcomes · Knowledge of child protection procedures · The ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels · Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative and passionate about early education · Have a positive, creative, can do approach · A commitment to equal opportunities Incy Wincy’s Ltd is committed to the welfare of the children in our care all posts are subject to satisfactory references and DBS check. Responsibilities * Lead and supervise a team of nursery practitioners, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent care and educational standards * Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning and development in line with the early years curriculum * Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and professional conduct * Monitor children’s progress, record observations, and contribute to personalised learning plans * Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times by adhering to health and safety policies * Assist in the organisation of daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods * Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning * Support the induction and ongoing professional development of junior staff members * Drive organisational initiatives to enhance nursery operations and child outcomes *Requirements* * Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood setting * Extensive nursery experience with a strong understanding of childcare practices * Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmental milestones * Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written * Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative * Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent) * Experience working with children across different age groups * Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities * Passionate about delivering high-quality childcare in a nurturing environment Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: From £19,954.43 per year Expected hours: No less than 30 per week Benefits: * Additional leave * Discounted or free food Work Location: In person
