We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join the team at HMP Huntercombe, a Category C prison, exclusively for Foreign National males of all ages. We have capacity of around 500 males.
You will be working in the primary care team and ideally you will be a car driver due to the location.
We are based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

Hours
This role is a permanent 37.5 hours per week.
* Monday - Friday - 7.45am - 8pm
* Weekends - 8.30am - 4.30pm
* Every other weekend
Salary
This position is full time, with an annual salary between £46,525 - £52,507 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
* Provide outstanding evidence-based care, seeking out, listening to, and acting on patient feedback to ensure personalized and meaningful care
* Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with partners and stakeholders, providing a trustworthy, safe, and proud service
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement, fostering a culture of shared learning

Requirements
* Registered nurse (Adult) with NMC registration
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working complexities
* Excellent communication skills
* Proactive problem-solving skills
* Motivated both individually and within teams
Preferred but not essential: experience in hospital, community, or prison healthcare environments.
