Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential care setting, including experience with dementia care. The candidate should have the leadership skills necessary to supervise and manage staff effectively.
As the Deputy Manager, you will support the overall management of the care home, ensuring that all residents receive exceptional care tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
* Supervise and support a team of care/senior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Develop and implement personalised care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs .
* Oversee medication administration and ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.
* Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
* Foster a positive environment that promotes resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
* Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
* Participate in staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a skilled workforce.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in care home setting with a strong background in senior care.
* Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising teams within a care environment.
* Strong understanding of dementia care practices and medication administration protocols.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff members.
* Ability to develop effective care plans that address the specific needs of individuals.
