Overall Purpose: As a Credit Risk Analyst (Associate), you will analyze and assess the quality of LME Clear’s credit exposures, ask the right questions, and find solutions to enhance risk management tools and processes. You will collaborate with various risk management teams and external stakeholders, building relationships across the industry.
Responsibilities:
* Assess credit quality, assign credit ratings, and manage credit exposure portfolios.
* Conduct credit risk assessments on collateral types, counterparties, and clients.
* Create reports using Excel, macros, and Power BI to transform data into insights.
* Monitor early warning indicators and escalate issues as needed.
* Ensure credit risk management systems are functional and accurate.
* Perform industry and country risk analyses.
* Assist in developing credit scoring models and risk frameworks.
* Prepare and present reports for Risk and Executive Committees.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate risk assessments.
Qualifications Required:
* Degree or equivalent in quantitative finance, mathematics, economics, or related fields.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
* Experience in financial institutions and knowledge of LME/HKEX.
* Data analysis skills, proficiency with large data sets, and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, SQL, VBA, Power BI, and Python.
* Understanding of accounting principles; pursuing CFA/FRM certification is a plus.
* Experience with financial institution credit analysis.
