JOB TITLE: Senior Commercial Account Executive REPORTS TO: Branch Manager - Edinburgh
LOCATION: Edinburgh or Glasgow
Purpose We are seeking a dynamic and experienced producing Commercial Insurance Broker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the UK commercial retail space, with a minimum of 5 years' experience. They must have held a role at the Account Executive level and possess expertise in handling the placement of insurance programs for commercial clients across Property, Liability, Motor, and Financial Lines.
Key Responsibilities - Adhere to all company policies and procedures. - Continuously identify areas for improvement and provide potential solutions to
the company and reduce costs. - Delivering good outcomes for customers and putting the customer's interests
first. - Ensure the customer understands what we sell and support the customer in
anyway you can. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients,
understanding their insurance needs and providing tailored solutions. - Lead the placement of insurance programs, negotiating terms and conditions
with underwriters to secure competitive coverage for clients. - Analyse client risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance products
to mitigate risks effectively. - Actively prospect and generate new business opportunities to expand the client
portfolio. - Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and claims specialists,
to deliver seamless service to clients. - Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide
informed advice and recommendations to clients. Conduct Rules

- An understanding of the UK insurance market, including trends, risks and regulatory changes.
- The ability to understand diverse client needs, including specific industry risks and business objectives.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the UK commercial retail space. - Previous experience at the Account Executive level within an insurance
brokerage. - Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products across Property, Liability,
Motor, and Financial Lines. - Proven track record of successfully placing insurance programs and achieving
revenue targets.
Qualifications - Relevant insurance qualifications and certifications (e.g., ACII, CII) are preferred
but not required.
