Overview
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Sheffield area. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team on days. Hours: 4 shifts per week across Monday to Friday, 08:00-09:00 starts (average of 10-hour shifts). Pay Rate: £15.28 per hour PAYE. Location: Sheffield, S35. Job Type: Long term ongoing role with permanent contract available for the right candidates.
Responsibilities
* Physically demanding role – loading and unloading your own vehicle.
* Use of supplied equipment (tail lift and pump truck).
* Manage up to 35 drops/collections maximum.
* Perform local runs within a 30-mile radius of the depot.
* Download and use the company app on your phone to manage collections.
* Attend an informal chat with the client, followed by a short induction on start date (no assessment required).
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C) – 1 year on licence required.
* Having a Class 1 licence would be beneficial.
* Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
* Be accustomed to a manually intensive role as this role can be demanding.
* Full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Excellent communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
