About the role
The Registered Manager at Hartrigg Oaks is integral to the delivery of a safe, effective, caring and well led service in line with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Some of the key responsibilities will be to:
* provide relationship centred leadership and direction
* lead a high performing care service team that contributes to the delivery of the JRHT/JRF strategic plan across high quality nursing and residential care.
* oversee the effective management of care home waiting lists and room allocations.
* be responsible for the delivery of quality and compliance across the service, ensuring a high-quality nursing, residential and domiciliary care services that are fit for purpose. The post holder will be required to apply for registration within two weeks of appointment.
* be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the services, to support the high-quality provision over the whole of the care service function.
* provide effective leadership to our team of colleagues at Hartrigg Oaks.

About you
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for include:
* Significant managerial experience working within the social care sector.
* Good experience and understanding of the requirements of providing registered nursing care and a good working knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and relevant Health and Safety legislation.
* A higher level of understanding of safeguarding of vulnerable adults within a nursing setting.
* Strong people management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
* Experience of conducting audits and improving services and outcomes for residents.
* Experience of managing financial plans and budgets.
* Able to demonstrate and role model good practise and anti-discriminatory approaches.
Essential Qualifications
* Nursing qualification i.e. RGN/RMN with current NMC registration.
