Overview
We are partnering with a leading organisation in the energy and infrastructure sector seeking a talented Energy & Infrastructure Lawyer to join its in‑house legal team. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of the energy transition, supporting innovative projects across renewable energy, infrastructure, and commercial energy solutions.
You will play a key role in advising on high‑profile projects, complex commercial arrangements, and emerging regulatory developments within a fast‑evolving industry.
The Role
* Advising on the development, procurement, construction, and operation of energy infrastructure projects, including renewable technologies and low‑carbon solutions
* Supporting commercial energy arrangements such as energy services agreements, private wire structures, and power purchase agreements
* Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including supply, metering, and data‑related agreements
* Advising on corporate transactions including joint ventures, partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and internal restructures
* Supporting strategic collaborations with public and private sector stakeholders on large‑scale infrastructure initiatives
* Providing legal input on innovative energy solutions and customer offerings, including regulatory and consumer considerations
* Monitoring and advising on relevant regulatory developments impacting the energy sector
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified solicitor or barrister in the UK (or equivalent jurisdiction)
* Experience in one or more of the following areas: commercial contracts, construction law, corporate transactions, or regulatory/consumer law
* Strong commercial awareness with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
* Excellent written and verbal English
Desirable Experience
* Experience within the energy sector, infrastructure projects, or a regulated environment
* Exposure to in‑house legal teams
* Familiarity with renewable energy projects or energy supply arrangements
* Experience supporting customer‑focused or consumer‑facing services
