We are looking for casuals to work in our 2 children’s homes, Hengrove and Lawrence Weston (please specify in your application if you have a preferred area).
The shifts will mainly be evenings, weekend and holidays.
The role of a Residential Child Care Worker is to work with the team to provide a fun time for disabled children away from their families, having new experiences, learning independent living skills and building friendship groups.
It also offers families the opportunity to have a break from their caring duties, to spend time with their other children and recharge their batteries.
The service is offered to children aged between 5 and 18 with severe learning difficulties and/or physical health needs. The home is fully equipped to offer a variety of activities for the children to chose, including sensory play, in and outdoor activities, cooking and water play.
