TheEducator Development team is part of the Product team at WSET. Itis focused on providing training and support to new and existingeducators. The Educator Training Programme (ETP) is the coreproduct provided by the Educator Development team. It trainseducators via live delivery and prepares candidates to be assessedand approved for WSET Certified Educator status. ETPs are specificto each WSET subject: wine spirits sake or beer. The ETP plays animportant role in empowering educators and improving their skillsto ensure that all WSET students receive highquality learningexperiences. As Educator Development Manager the successfulcandidate will be at the forefront of delivering ETPs and continuedprofessional development foreducators.
Delivery of ETPs(60%)
Plan and evaluateown delivery of ETP courses
Deliver ETP inputsessions focusing on educational best practices and techniques forteaching WSET courses
Provide constructivefeedback to ETP candidates
Assess ETP candidatesthat seek Certified Educator status and issueresults
Work with the Head of EducatorDevelopment to grow and support local faculty to deliver the ETPacross regions and categories.
Delivery ETP inperson and as virtual courses predominantly in EMEA and also inAmericas and APAC when required
Focus ondelivery of ETP in wine with delivery of other subjects streamswhen required and in line with knowledge andexperience
Support and provide feedback tocandidates through ETP online preparation course
Define reobservation requirements and/or supplementary tasks forunsuccessful ETP candidates
Assessreobservations and above tasks by unsuccessfulcandidates
Observe colleagues and coteach toimprove overall delivery of ETP across Educator Development andsupporting faculty
Delivery ofContinued Professional Development for WSET educators(20%)
Provide CPD to educatorsoutside of the ETP
Use range of resources andplatforms to provide CPD
Support development oftraining and resources for CPD
Teach and observeother educators teaching WSETsessions
