24/7 Support UK Limited is a well-established, growing team based in Peterborough, Grantham, Leeds, Nottingham, and Doncaster. We work together to help young people in crisis find their independence through support and mentoring within our semi-independent living provisions. We are looking for a passionate, caring, self-disciplined Registered Children's Home Manager (Dual Registration) for a 3-bed Residential Children's Home and a 2-bed EBD Residential Children's Home in the Peterborough area.
Overview of Homes and Support Structure:
The homes operate under dual registration, each holding its own registration. All homes currently maintain a 'Good' rating from Ofsted.
Support Structure:
* Responsible Individual
* Head of Services
* Residential Manager
* Deputy Managers (one in each home)
* Shift Leaders (assigned to each home)
One home accommodates a solo placement, while the other currently houses two settled children.
Location: Peterborough area
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
You will be dedicated to supporting and improving the lives of the children we care for. You will promote and deliver high standards of care to vulnerable children. Acting as the senior professional within the staff team, you will ensure all care aspects are compliant with legislation and that high-quality care is embedded in the team and company's culture. Ideally, you will have experience working with challenging behaviors in environments with vulnerable children and the ability to use your initiative.
You should hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or a social work qualification with at least two years' experience in a similar setting, or at least 2-3 years as a Registered Manager with a 'Good' Ofsted rating. You will ensure the home meets Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards and support regulatory inspections. Your primary role is to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children, ensuring they are loved, happy, healthy, safe, and able to thrive. You will serve as a positive role model and contribute to service strategy, business planning, budgeting, report writing, and daily management. Excellent IT skills are essential. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins is required.
