Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our Frailty & Mobility (MFE) Team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. If you are a trainee already on the path to becoming an ANP and have completed your clinical assessment and non‑medical prescribing modules, we also welcome you to apply. The post is initially based at Ninewells Hospital but may change as the cluster develops.
Responsibilities
 * Assess, diagnose and manage older people within our Acute Frailty Wards.
 * Work closely with older people, their families/carers and the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to identify clinical issues quickly, prevent avoidable deterioration, and support effective rehabilitation and discharge.
 * Collaborate with the Discharge Hub to facilitate timely and smooth, person‑centred transitions of care.
 * Act as a clinical leader, supporting the Lead ANP and Senior Leadership Team in the continuous improvement of the service.
 * Participate in the delivery of specialist education and training programmes, and contribute to the development of advanced nursing practice.
 * Enhance patient experience, assure clinical governance and support service development across the partnership.
Qualifications
 * Registered nurse with a postgraduate diploma or MSc in Advanced Practice.
 * Non‑Medical Prescriber (NMP) status.
 * Experience working at an advanced level with frail, elderly patients and the ability to make autonomous clinical decisions.
 * Demonstrated commitment to undertake an advanced practice competency pathway (triennial approach of academic courses, mentorship and clinical supervision).
 * Willingness and ability to travel across Dundee.
