Join Mller for an exciting 13-month placement where you'll play a key role in leading cross-functional teams to ensure food safety and the production of high-quality foods.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in Quality Control management - from maintaining quality standards, policies, and procedures - all while supporting consistent site performance. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the business to deliver quality products right the first time, contributing to Mller's reputation for Best in Class.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Quality Systems Management : Support the deployment and continuous improvement of Mller's food safety and quality management systems, ensuring daily adherence to standards.
Operational Oversight : Contribute to the smooth running of day-to-day activities, helping to maintain safety, quality, and food safety standards, while promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
Resource Planning : Assist in identifying staffing needs and developing resource plans to meet testing and operational requirements.
Governance and Reporting : Provide clear and accurate quality performance data to the management team to support informed decision-making.
Site Compliance : Support external audits and ensure all non-compliances are addressed in line with required standards.
Training and Development : Help shape inclusive training plans that support the growth and development of all team members within the department.
Collaborative Problem Solving : Work cross-functionally to identify and resolve quality issues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Labour Management : Assist in managing labour resources effectively, balancing cost control with team engagement and wellbeing.
Who Should Apply?
Mller are looking for confident students with an analytical mindset for this 13-month placement. We're seeking university students who are on track to achieve a 2:1 and above and are looking for a year-in-industry opportunity.
Key skills and attributes:
Clear and respectful communication skills: Both written and verbal. The ability to express ideas effectively, listen actively, and tailor communication to different audiences and contexts
Curiosity and learning mindset: Interest in food manufacturing and a willingness to learn about raw milk and yogurt processing.

Organisation: Strong time management and attention to detail.
Analytical thinking : Confident working with data to support decision-making.
Digital literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
Driving licence: A full UK driving licence held for at least one year.
UK Residency: Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold.)
Flexibility: This role requires flexibility in working hours, with occasional work outside of standard business hours. International travel may be required to factory acceptance testing of new equipment.
