We are seeking an experienced and highly capable administrator to lead and manage the academic administrative processes for our Robotics related graduate programmes. The post is part of the Department of Engineering Science's Student Administration Team with a strong link to the Oxford Robotics Institute's (ORI) Administration team.
You will lead and manage the set up and academic administrative processes for the MSc in Autonomous Robotics programme, providing advice and guidance to the Course Director(s) on matters such as exams regulations, student admissions processes and on-course monitoring. The MSc in Autonomous Robotics is a new course with a planned annual intake of approximately 30 full-time students, once at full capacity.
The role also involves administration for other graduate programmes associated with the ORI. Currently, this includes the EPSRC Robotics and AI for Net Zero CDT. This CDT programme is hosted by the University of Manchester and administration will involve admissions, industry partner engagement and student welfare monitoring.
Educated to degree level, you should have experience of managing administrative processes and customer facing work, ideally in a higher education environment. You must be able to interpret and apply regulations and procedures. A proven ability to work independently, using your own initiative, and to prioritise competing demands is essential, as are strong IT skills and a very high level of attention to detail. Strong team working and communication skills are vital. The set up of the MSc in Autonomous Robotics course will require a number of logistical arrangements, so applicants should expect to work on space planning, procurement and marketing as part of this.
The post holder will spend at least one day per week in the main teaching building for Engineering Science in the centre of Oxford, and the remainder of the time at the Oxford Robotics Institute on Banbury Road. Some home-working may be considered after a suitable probationary period.
Applicants wishing to job share should indicate this clearly in their covering letter.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Robyn Mitchell –
Only applications received before midday on the 13th October 2025 can be considered. You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement describing how you meet the essential criteria of the post, CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application.
