Head of Engineering with full stack JavaScript development (Typescript, React, express) and cloud native architecture and service design skills is sought by a market leading SaaS start up based in the UK (hubs in London, Birmingham & Manchester).
With recent investment this Head of Engineering will be tasked with taking the product into production and scaling functionality quickly in line with strong client demand. As such operating as a Lead Developer or hands on Head of Engineering in a product led, high paced, investor backed start up would be hugely beneficial.
With Series A round forecast within 18 months this individual will be given the autonomy to build and scale a team presenting a unique fast track CTO progression pathway (with a generous equity offering) within two years.
This role would suit a Head of Engineering who relishes using the latest technology to quickly solve business problems and drive revenue with the ability to quickly understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions and an outgoing, positive attitude who feels comfortable operating in a board room setting.
This Head of Engineering should have most of the following key skills
- Hands on full stack JavaScript development experience - React, Typescript, Express, node etc
- A product focussed, business first approach to engineering
- Experience taking products into production (ideally data heavy SaaS/ PaaS solutions)
- Cloud native architecture and solution design experience
- Solid pipeline automation skills (CI/CD)
- Proven team mentorship/ Leadership skills with the desire to move to a CTO role
- Ability to shape a technical strategy
- Basic understanding of LLM's in production
- Experience working in a high growth start up (ideally within e-commerce, data, retail)
