The Best Connection are currently seeking a reliable 7.5T (Category C1) Driver to join our well-established plumbing and heating client based in the North Shields area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver looking for a role with an excellent overtime structure.
The Role:
* Performing multi-drop deliveries of plumbing and heating supplies (typically 8-15 stops per day).
* Delivering to a mix of trade counters, active construction sites, and residential addresses.
* Assisting with the manual loading and unloading of goods (boilers, radiators, and bathroom suites).
* Conducting daily vehicle walk-around checks and maintaining high safety standards.
The Pay and Hours:
* Basic Rate: £14.00 per hour (first 8 hours Monday to Friday).
* Overtime (Mon-Fri): £21.00 per hour (Time and a half after 8 hours daily).
* Saturdays: £21.00 per hour (Time and a half for all hours worked).
* Sundays and Bank Holidays: £28.00 per hour (Double time for all hours worked).
* Typical Start: 07:00 Monday to Friday.
The Requirements:
* Full UK Driving Licence with Category C1 (7.5T) entitlement.
* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
* Maximum of 6 points on licence (No DR, DD, or CD endorsements).
* Physical fitness for manual handling of plumbing and heating products.
