Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organised Housing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing housing allocations and supporting the managing agent through the whole tenancy lifecycle to maintain tenant relationships and ensuring compliance with housing policies. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and experience in property management or related fields. The Housing Officer will play a vital role in supporting effective delivery of services carried out by our managing agent. Responsibilities • Manage allocations and inventories, and attend property viewings and move in's • Review tenant applications collated by managing agent to ensure compliance with policy • Maintain accurate records through data entry and administrative documentation • Conduct regular inspections of properties and address maintenance issues in collaboration with relevant teams • Support the move out process and recording any void work • Organise and coordinate appointments and meetings, including action tracking from meetings with the managing agent. • Assist arrears management and service performance monitoring. Skills & Experience • Proven experience in social housing or property management. • Previous office experience with strong organisational skills • Competent in data entry and maintaining detailed records accurately • Experience in supporting tenants in tenancy sustainment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively • Knowledge of housing legislation and tenant rights is advantageous • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Working Hours and Flexibility Full-time (37 hours per week), with hybrid working. Typically a blend of home working, office time in Truro (2-3 days per week) and on-site visits across Cornwall. We aim to support flexible working wherever possible.
