Job Description IT Data Classification Analyst - Submarines Full Time – Hybrid Derby, Raynesway Why Rolls-Royce? As an IT Data Classification Analyst, you will be working in a critical cyber security data analyst function for the correct classification of business data. It is a fundamental compliance & gatekeeper role for the release of secure communications to ensure we are compliant with our security posture. This is a role undertaking email release for the RRSL enterprise. It is a critical role to ensure the maintenance of our security posture and to assure email communications can be cleared for releases to external organisations and contacts. What you will be doing: You will apply a methodical & consistent application of data classification and security standards to assess email content and attachments prior to their release: Ensure the maintenance of our security posture as mandated by our policies and procedures to deliver a compliant email release activity. Be proficient in all interactions and communications with business users so that our email release posture and release decisions are clearly understood and adhered to. Be responsible for defining continuous service improvements for the email release function to enhance our business end user experience (EuX) Who we are looking for: Being a part of Rolls-Royce you’ll know we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do. To be successful in this role you will need to: Demonstrate experience of making judgements as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in their career. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate experience of maintaining process discipline and rigour to deliver agreed quality outcomes. Have knowledge & experience in undertaking IT Security (Cybersecurity) and data classification principles defined for data assurance practices within an organisation. Desirable: Qualifications in IT Security e.g., BCS CISMP. Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
