We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking Design & Technology Teacher to join a vibrant and academically ambitious school located in Bicester. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with specialism in engineering, systems, or product design to contribute to a dynamic department with a clear focus on innovation, creativity, and cross-curricular collaboration. The position is full-time and will begin in September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach a broad and stimulating Design & Technology curriculum to students at Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 options for the right candidate

Lead student projects that explore CAD/CAM, 3D modelling, electronics, sustainability, and real-world engineering applications
*
Use well-equipped workshops including laser cutters, CNC routers, 3D printers, and professional software packages
*
Mentor students through the design cycle—from research and prototyping to final construction and evaluation
*
Support the delivery of extra-curricular STEM activities, DT clubs, and external competitions
Candidate Profile:
*
Holds a DT or Engineering degree and QTS
*
Proven classroom experience, ideally in a high-achieving or innovative setting
*
Enthusiastic and creative, with the ability to motivate students of all abilities
*
Strong understanding of safe workshop practices and digital design technologies
*
Able to contribute meaningfully to curriculum development and department growth
