Responsibilities
* Work closely with residents on a daily basis, assisting them to live their lives to the full and in line with their wishes.
* Build a positive relationship with residents, becoming a friend and ensuring activities are enjoyed.
* Ensure the health and wellbeing of residents.
* Provide personal care and emotional support).
* Medication administration.
* Participate in stimulating activities and involve residents in a person-centred approach.
Requirements
* Background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desirable, but not essential as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.
* Excellent communication skills, with an enthusiastic and positive outlook.
* Ability to respond to people\'s emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
* Confidence to work as part of a team in a sometimes-challenging environment, using your own initiative.
* The desire to develop skills, undertaking appropriate training courses when offered.
