The Research Technician position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of microfluidics demonstrator systems within a translational research setting. We are seeking a self¿motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in applied microfluidics, automation, and systems development. The role will support the translation of existing laboratory¿based microfluidics setups into robust, functional demonstrators suitable for research and external engagement. Role The post holder will work closely with academic staff, students, and other technical colleagues to support the programming, control, and integration of microfluidics systems. Day¿to¿day activities will include programming and testing control systems, integrating software with mechanical and electronic components, troubleshooting and optimisation, system documentation, and supporting the assembly and modification of demonstrator hardware. The role will suit someone who enjoys practical, problem¿solving work at the interface of engineering and the life sciences. Skills, Experience & Qualification needed The ideal candidate will have practical experience in programming and system integration and an interest in applied microfluidics research. Strong problem¿solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
