We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Employment team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will work as part of a team providing support to case handlers.
Main duties and responsibilities
Assisting case handlers and other team members with progressing employment tribunal claims, including:
* Collating documents into bundles
* Drafting documents (sending emails to witnesses, clients, the Tribunal, ACAS and other third parties)
* Routine telephone calls to clients, witnesses, the Tribunal, ACAS and others
* Comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures
* Create new clients and matters ensuring compliance with internal procedures
* Perform general file management duties including identifying and logging key dates
* Close/archive files ensuring all MI is captured
* Prepare and send out various internal and external documents
* Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values
About You
You will have previous experience and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work. We also require you to have/be:
* Be a team player
* Be able to show initiative and be self-motivated when required to work on own
* Be comfortable and confident using the telephone
* Have strong organisational and communication skills
* Have the ability to prioritise tasks and your workload
* Have good housekeeping skills
* A hands on approach to work
* Good technical IT skills
