About the Role
We are on the lookout for a skilled Chiller Engineer to join our dynamic team in London and the surrounding areas. This is your chance to work with cutting-edge HVAC technology while delivering exceptional service and support to our valued customers.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Chiller Engineer, you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting, servicing, and commissioning industrial water chillers. You’ll have the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively, providing technical support for installations, maintenance, and breakdowns.
* Respond to service calls efficiently, conducting thorough risk assessments before starting work.
* Perform maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on a variety of chillers, including air-cooled, water-cooled, screw, scroll, centrifugal, and reciprocating systems.
* Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults, troubleshoot complex technical issues both on-site and remotely, and interpret wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, and pressure enthalpy diagrams.
* Commission standard and large-capacity chillers, ensuring compliance with installation standards while providing expert technical advice to customers.
* Engage closely with customers, attend meetings, and offer technical guidance with minimal supervision.
* Oversee technicians on large sites, support junior engineers and apprentices, and assist in delivering technical courses.
* Ensure adherence to F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards, providing clear service reports via our digital platform.
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas such as centrifugal compressor rebuilds, absorption chillers, and chiller sequencing controls.
What We Are Looking For
* City & Guilds Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
* F-Gas Qualified (Category 1).
* HNC / ONC in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (preferred).
* Experience with Carrier and other manufacturers' chillers and equipment.
* Ability to work on commercial and industrial HVAC systems, troubleshooting complex breakdowns.
* Full UK Driving Licence (or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of refrigeration circuits, thermodynamics, and control systems.
* Experience in a Technician or Engineer role within the HVAC industry.
