My client, a global engineering business are on the hunt for a Generator Mechanic to join their team!
Role and Responsibilities – Generator Mechanic
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in inspecting equipment returning from projects for customers, ensuring the equipment is meeting safety standards for field reuse.
Other responsibilities include:
* Producing survey reports, conducting maintenance and servicing, providing technical support to other trades, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide technical advice and support to other trades regarding fault investigation and generator-related matters.
* Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Engineering Hygiene, Risk Assessments, and safe working practices in a hazardous environment.
* Conduct training and mentoring of apprentices.
Experience or Qualifications – Generator Mechanic
* Recognised and accredited trade qualifications of City & Guilds standards or above.
* Proficient in fault finding and diagnostic abilities on both mechanical and electrical components.
* Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), service targets, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Competent computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, MS Teams), and the ability to learn new software systems
