The role involves the use of advanced technology and investigative techniques to gather and analyse evidence, producing high‑quality reports for Coroner’s Courts, the Criminal Justice System (CJS), and partner agencies.

Successful candidates will normally start at the bottom of the scale, progressing through the scheme following attainment of required qualifications and successful assessments. FCIs also participate in an on‑call rota outside normal working hours.
- Benefits
Generous annual leave entitlement, increasing with service
Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
